Purpose: Think it through before you say yes to a loan you may not get back.
When to use: Use this when someone has asked you for money and you have not answered yet.
Worksheet prompts
- Who asked, how much, and what for?
- If this money never came back, how much would that hurt you?
- What has happened the last time you lent to this person?
- What can you actually give with no strings, if anything?
It is fine if the honest answer is nothing. - Write your answer to them in two sentences or less.
Money and family get tangled fast. Saying it plainly now saves a harder talk later.
